When summer temperatures soared in Jatni, youth volunteers from the Jatni Yuva Shakti Club did not wait, they acted. Mobilized under the Young Gamechangers Initiative and supported by WHO India, they distributed over 200 oral rehydration salts (ORS) packets to daily wage workers, street vendors, traffic police and older adults at risk of heat stroke and dehydration. They demonstrated correct ORS preparation, shared practical heat-safety tips, and set up ORS corners at anganwadi centres, while engaging with self-help groups to sustain access for vulnerable families, directly benefiting more than 200 people.
